Raju Narayana Swami had unearthed irregularities in the Rs19 crore agreement in which the former PWD Minister T.U.Kuruvilla and his family was involved, and which led to the resignation of Minister.
Narayanaswamy’s report to the Chief Minister against the alleged irregularities in land dealings of relatives of former PWD Minister T U Kuruvilla, landed the minister in a tight-spot culminating in his resignation on September 3.
Kuruvilla’s name was not mentioned in the report, but what was clearly mentioned was that the minister’s son, Eldo Kuruvilla, had allegedly threatened the village officer of Rajakumari village for “manipulating” records.
“There was blatant violation of rules, the property had been undervalued,” Narayanaswamy said, adding Government land had been shown to have been purchased. He said on a single day Kuruvilla had rung him up 19 times from different mobiles asking him not to take steps against his relatives.
