Kiliroor sex scandal case.

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 10 (PTI) A lower court today directed the police to register a case against Kerala Health Minister P K Sreemathi and five others on a petition alleging that they had a role in suppressing a file concerning the Kiliroor sex scandal case.
Judicial First Class Magistrate, Philip Thomas, passed the orders while admitting a public interest petition filed by one P Nagarajan.

The petitioner contended that Sreemathi, CM's political secretary K N Balagopal and personal secretary S Rajendran had allegedly entered into a conspiracy to suppress a file seeking inquiry by a CBI officer in the rank of DIG into the death of an 18-year-old girl in 2005, who was allegedly the victim of sexual exploitation.

The girl, who belonged to Kiliroor in Kottayam, was allegedly lured by a group which promised her roles in teleserials.

The girl's father had approached the government seeking a high level probe alleging that some influential persons were trying to suppress the case. PTI
